Lash Bath How To

If you follow any lash company or artist online there is one suggestion they will ALL give their clients; can you guess what it is? To CLEAN YOUR LASHES!

WHY are we so repetitive about it?

Clients have this false idea that if their lashes get wet, they will fall out faster. Who is guilty of believing that information at some point? The truth is washing your extensions daily will improve your retention. They take on makeup, sweat, oil and moisturizer that we apply at the beginning of the day which can break down the glue. This causes extensions to shed faster than they should and you will need a refill sooner.

HOW should you clean your lashes and with what?

It is recommended to use a cleanser that is oil free. Using a brush, or the tips of your fingers, lather the cleanser and apply it directly to the extensions. If you are using a brush gently brush left to right/up and down on your extensions. If you are using your fingers complete the same process. Rinse the extensions with water and pat them dry with a soft lint free cloth. Hand towels and q-tips have a higher risk of snagging an extension so be very careful using those options! I personally go for a paper towel. Once the excess water is gone and the lashes are starting to look more spread out, take a mascara brush and brush them back into place. ALWAYS BE GENTLE WHEN PERFORMING THESE STEPS. Eyelashes are delicate. <3

Repeat daily and take note if your retention improves! ;)
